WARDOGS

I like this game.

What is it?

I’d describe Wardogs as an FPS with milsim elements. It has infantry combat, ground vehicles, and aircraft.

The mode I’m playing right now is King of the Hill. One hundred players across three factions fight over a capture zone, and the first team to reach 100 points wins.

What I like

Without getting too deep into the details, what I like most is that you can make a meaningful contribution to your team while playing in whatever way suits you.

  • Want to play with friends? Move as a squad, capture enemy bases, or hold a position in the Hot Zone (HZ).
  • Want to play solo and take it easy? Work in logistics by bringing supplies to the battlefield and building bases. You can also play recon and spot enemies for your team.

I came to Wardogs from the Battlefield franchise, where kills can sometimes feel like the main objective rather than the game mode itself, such as Conquest (Capturing an area). The newest Battlefield, BF6, feels like it’s getting the Call of Duty treatment: everything is faster and more frantic.

I’m also getting older, and keeping up with fast-moving FPS games is becoming harder. Wardogs feels like a breath of fresh air because it gives me other ways to contribute besides chasing kills.

WARDOGS is a solid recommend.
